The 21-year-old, who is from Shifnal, earned her card by finishing 19th after five gruelling rounds at Tour School in Marrakech, Morocco.

Peters turned professional just eight weeks ago and said winning her tour card at the first attempt made Christmas extra special.

"It was a long week with a lot of golf in some very hot conditions but when I sunk that final put to win a place on the tour the feeling was amazing," she said.

"Everything I had worked for over the last year had come together.

"It was so close to Christmas that it would have been a huge disappointment if I hadn't have done it, but making that putt means it has been the best Christmas ever.

"I've really been able to celebrate and enjoy myself because the first tournament isn't until March."

Peters travelled to north Africa after finishing in seventh place at a pre qualifying tournament in Morocco, back in October.

She competed in the final between December 17 and 21 and needed to finish in the top 30 but ended up 19th after shooting rounds of 71-71-72-72 and 74.
