Tennant hits the road for charity
Great Britain pursuit star Andy Tennant was an unexpected guest of honour when Newport Cycling Club hosted a charity ride.

Less than 48 hours after winning a thrilling bronze at the World Track Championships in London, the 29-year-old Wolverhampton-born ace was queueing up with club riders in the backroom of The Pheasant pub before paying £4 to take part in a Reliability Trial.
Part of a series organised by various Shropshire clubs, the events are group rides which riders use to gauge their fitness.
Sunday's round was in aid of Cyclists Fighting Cancer and organisers were pleased to be able to raise a large sum.
Newport chairman Nick Jeggo was delighted to see Tennant take part and said: "Andy is very popular in Newport and has ridden the Newport Nocturne on several occasions.
"It just shows how inclusive cycling is when a top Pro who is part of the Olympic squad can roll up to take part in a local charity ride.
"It's a bit like Premier League footballer turning up for a Sunday League football match!"
