She will now make the trip overseas for the tournament, which will take place in the Turkish port city of Ordu for a week from today to next Saturday.

She's a schoolgirl at Hadley Learning Community, who honoured her with their Exceptional Student award this year.

The two-time national champion boxes for Merridale Boxing Club in Wolverhampton, but is from the Telford area.

She came through a selection camp at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield to secure a place at 46kg in the junior section.

She has already donned the England vest for combat in preparation for the Euros, as part of a team which took on Ireland.

Kaur took on two Irish counterparts to help her get ready for what lies ahead, first scoring a unanimous points victory over Diana Moorhouse.

She then renewed her rivalry with Ciara O'Brien, who had halted her 12 wins from 12 bouts progress with her only defeat on a split decision prior to their latest meeting.

That came at July's Monkstown Box Cup in Ireland, with Kaur beating her by the same verdict in the previous weekend's Hull Box Cup.

Kaur was smarting for revenge this time and took the decision out of the official's hands with a resounding first round TKO.
