Squash star heads to Shrewsbury club
Former squash world No.1 Nick Matthew is looking to help stars of the future when he visits a Shrewsbury club this weekend.
Shropshire Squash Club, who are based at The Shrewsbury School, welcome the four-time World Team and four-time Commonwealth Games gold medal winner for a day of tips and training.
The event, on Saturday, is due to run between 11am and 6pm with three sessions.
There is a morning session from 11, an afternoon session for juniors and a later session for adults.
Matthew, 38, will be on hand for a question and answer session for each section and will then oversee court fitness challenges.
There are other coaching slots available from the three-time British Open winner. The sessions end with a ‘play the pro’ chance before he will contest an exhibition match with promising Shropshire squash youngster Joshua Masters.
Tickets are still available to purchase. Email g-moore@talktalk.net or guyrutter1@gmail.com for details.
