Following Yerson Mosquera's season-ending knee injury, and Wolves' failure to sign a Max Kilman replacement in the summer, O'Neil has been left with just three fit senior centre-backs.

The head coach has opted to play all three of late and despite picking up a first win of the season, O'Neil has welcomed the break as he looks to get Craig Dawson and Santi Bueno back up to speed.

"He (Dawson) played an hour last weekend with a calf strain and he started this game with a calf strain as well," O'Neil said.

"He didn't train all week. We are short in defensive areas and Santi Bueno's got a groin strain.
