Shrewsbury progressed to this stage of the competition for the first time after a tense 3-3 affair where visitors Sheffield equalised in the last minute - only for Shrews to win the shootout.

Sixteen-year-old Eva Stanley got a brace as she put the home side ahead twice, while Kim Bebbington also scored to take the lead.

Jeorgia Carr scored the winning penalty to send the Shropshire side through to the next round.

Salop will not have to travel far to face National League North opponents Wolves, who are based at AFC Telford United's New Bucks Head ground.

The last time Shrewsbury faced Wolves in the Cup was in 2022, with the Black Country side coming away 8-2 winners.

Wolves are currently second in the National League North - two division above Shrews - and beat fellow National League side Sporting Khalsa 8-1 in the second round of the Cup, having dispatched Asfordby Amateurs 7-1 in the first round.

Salop’s West Midlands League Premier Division game against Lye Town will be moved to accommodate the match on December 8.
