Kayode, who has not played since he featured in Town's 2-1 EFL Trophy defeat to Fulham back in August, is back training and in contention for a place in Ainsworth's squad.
The 24-year-old is on a season-long loan from League One rivals Rotherham but has only featured four times due to a calf problem.
He has had terrible luck with injuries over the last couple of seasons. Kayode made just three league appearances for Carlisle last time out after joining on loan, while his time at MK Dons was also interrupted by injury.
And with Kayode closing in on a return, Ainsworth says other managers have spoken highly about the Millers man.
