There have been so many challenging moments following Salop during this campaign.

So when your side comes from two goals down to get a 2-2 draw, you must be pleased with the heart and resilience on display to achieve that.

Town snatched a point from the jaws of defeat. There is going to need to be a lot more of that if they are to turn their campaign around - but it is a start.

Undoubtedly, there are mountains for Shrewsbury to climb, and despite the draw on Saturday with Wigan Athletic, they still find themselves nine points adrift at the bottom of the table.

But it stopped the rot, it prevented Salop from falling to a fourth straight defeat, and it gave the 420 travelling Shrewsbury fans something to sing about.

Unfortunately, they still made basic errors. The kind which has haunted them all season long - and that was the reason they found themselves behind.

Having conceded eight in the two previous games Shrewsbury's task looked daunting on the hour mark as they were two goals behind at The Brick Community Stadium.

But instead of choosing to dwell on those things in a season of so many low points, you must instead look at Saturday for what it was - a brilliant moment for the fans who had made the journey to Wigan once again in perilous conditions as Salop fought back.
