Although Mario Lemina is now increasingly likely to leave the club in the January transfer window, Pereira has said he does not want to lose players from the small squad amid speculation around Sam Johnstone's future.
The goalkeeper situation remains a delicate one, after the £10million summer signing lost his place to Jose Sa, who regained the number one spot.
"We have a small squad and we don't have a lot of solutions for each position," Pereira said when asked about Johnstone.
"It means that we need to keep the players and bring one or two players to help us.
