Table-topping Saints head to the Welsh capital as league leaders, a point above Penybont, with both teams having played 21 league games.

Second-placed Penybont are away to Newtown this evening.

The JD Cymru Premier splits for phase two of the league season after tonight’s matches, with the top six teams competing in the Championship Conference and the bottom six contesting the Play-Off Conference.

Cardiff Met, tonight’s opponents for TNS at Cyncoed Campus, are currently fourth in the league as they look to secure a top six spot.

A number of teams just below them - Caernarfon Town, Bala Town, Barry Town United and Connah’s Quay Nomads - are also hoping to do the same.

TNS, Penybont and Haverfordwest County, the league’s current top three, are the only clubs definitely guaranteed a place in the Championship Conference.

Saints were 3-0 winners when they played Cardiff Met at Park Hall in the league in October, with goals from Danny Davies and Aramide Oteh, as well as an own goal, guiding them to three points.

The clubs also faced each other the following month in the third round of the JD Welsh Cup, with goals from Jordan Williams (two) and Ryan Brobbel securing a 3-1 away win for TNS in Cardiff.
