Wolves remain entrenched in a battle against the drop and plummeted back into the bottom three over the weekend.

After a challenging start to life at Molineux, here is how the results across his first seven games compare to his predecessors.

Pereira kicked off his rescue mission with a pair of wins against Leicester City and Manchester United respectively either side of Christmas to lift Wolves out of the relegation zone.

Wolves ended 2024 by rescuing a 2-2 draw at Tottenham Hotspur but have struggled since the turn of the year with four league defeats in a row.

Those defeats have come against the likes of Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Arsenal but their 1-0 loss against the latter has sucked them back into the bottom three.

O'Neil was quickly whisked through the door at Wolves after Julen Lopetegui announced his decision to leave Molineux just six days before the start of the 2023-24 season.

His reign started with a 1-0 defeat at Manchester United after Wolves were controversially denied a penalty when Andre Onana clattered into Sasa Kalajdzic inside the box.

Brighton handed them a 4-1 defeat on O'Neil's home debut before Kalajdzic scored late to secure his first win at Everton.

Back-to-back defeats against Crystal Palace and Liverpool followed and Wolves battled their way to a 1-1 draw at newly-promoted Luton Town after Jean-Ricner Bellegarde had been sent off.

Wolves then stunned eventual champions Manchester City with a 2-1 triumph at Molineux at the end of September in what would prove the first of a series of statement wins over the course of the campaign.

Lopetegui was handed the reins after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with Wolves sat at the foot of the Premier League table.

They had collected just two wins from 16 league games prior to his arrival but the Spaniard provided their survival mission with a much-needed boost.

Rayan Ait-Nouri scored a dramatic 95th-minute winner as Wolves came from behind to win 2-1 at Everton in Lopetegui's first game on Boxing Day.

They ended 2022 with a 1-0 home defeat against Manchester United but opened the New Year with a creditable draw at local rivals Aston Villa.

Wolves beat West Ham, Liverpool and Southampton over the course of the next four games to lift themselves out of the drop zone.

Lage had big shoes to fill following Nuno Espirito Santo's departure at Wolves, before he then joined Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur. .

His tenure started with a run of three successive 1-0 defeats against Leicester City, Tottenham and Manchester United respectively.

A 2-0 win at Watford gave Lage his first maximum points in the Premier League and he mounted back-to-back successes over Southampton and Newcastle United following a 2-0 defeat at home to Brentford.

Wolves had broken the Championship transfer record to bring Ruben Neves to Molineux for £15.8 million during Espirito Santo's first summer at the helm.

That statement of intent underlined Wolves' title ambitions and they made a roaring start under their new Portuguese manager with three wins on the spin against Middlesbrough, Derby County and Hull City respectively.

They were beaten by Cardiff City on match day four but they recovered with a 1-0 win over Millwall which was sandwiched between draws against Brentford and Bristol City respectively.

Wolves were just three points clear of danger when former Villa and Norwich City boss Paul Lambert succeeded Walter Zenga in November 2016.

He endured a mixed start to life at Molineux - collecting two draws and two defeats along with a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers across his first five games at the helm.

Back-to-back wins over Nottingham Forest and Bristol City either side of Christmas alleviated relegation fears.
