The Gabon international started the season as club captain but was stripped of the armband by Gary O'Neil after an altercation with team-mates and first team coach Shaun Derry after the defeat to West Ham in December.
Nelson Semedo replaced Lemina as captain and weeks later, under new boss Vitor Pereira, he refused to travel with the team for a game at Newcastle.
The midfielder asked the club to find him a move, with Al Shabab interested in him, but Lemina was unable to secure his move before the Saudi Arabian transfer window closed.
