Tony Mowbray's side welcome Danny Rohl's Owls to the West Midlands, looking for a second home win on the bounce and a response to throwing away a lead at Plymouth last week.

The Pilgrims came from a goal down with two late goals at Home Park - and on Saturday Albion take on the league specialists at falling behind before going on to take the spoils.

Rohl's side, who sit just behind Albion in the table and could leapfrog the Baggies into the play-off places with a victory, have won more points from losing positions this season than any other side in the division.

Those late shows from Rohl's side have seen them climb from the fringes of the relegation back at the start of the season, to very much becoming play-off contenders over recent weeks.

Despite that comeback statistic, they have won just once in their last five outings but remain well in the top six picture which underlines how tight the Championship is this season.

Wednesday travel to The Hawthorns on Saturday on the back of adding just two new players in the January transfer window.

Former Celtic and Southampton midfielder Stuart Armstrong, who was briefly linked to Albion, has arrived from Vancouver Whitecaps, while Ibrahim Cissoko on loan from Toulouse, after the winger had a disappointing period at Plymouth.

Arguably Wednesday's biggest piece of business was keeping hold of influential midfielder Shea Charles. The Northern Ireland international was due to be recalled by his parent club Southampton, but he will now remain with the Owls until the end of the campaign.

It came as a huge boost to Rohl's side, having already played such a key role in their rise up the league since his arrival at the club back in the summer.
