Tatter Travels have organised for all six of their sold out coaches to stop at Chorley FC where the club will be opening their doors and welcoming Wolves fans, providing drinks and hospitality before continuing on to Blackburn ahead of the 12.30pm kick-off.

Nearly 350 people will stop for a pre-match party before going on to the game.

Chorley are providing a special fan zone for supporters and in return, fans will be helping to raise money for the National League North side.

"We decided to stop at Chorley FC on the way to Blackburn, because not only will the fans travelling with us have a great time in a unique environment but also so we can back a non league football team along the way," said Richard Perkins from Tatter Travels.

"Non league football is not like the Premier League, every penny counts and hopefully we can benefit Chorley and create long lasting memories for the travelling fans in the process."

The name Chorley still sends shudders down many Wolves fans' spines.

Then in the sixth tier of English football, they beat Wolves at the third attempt in an FA Cup first-round replay on the night of the November 25,1986.

The 3-0 loss at Burnden Park was a dark day for a club that had been in the top division as recently as 1984 before going on to suffer an extraordinary triple relegation.

Wolves ironially faced Chorley at the same 4th round stage in 2021 with the Premier League side scraping a 1-0 win thanks to Vitinha's long range effort.

"We are opening 3 bars with drinks offers , a DJ will be entertaining the 350 strong crowd and the Magpies Nest, award winning cafe will be open from 8.30 am.

"It goes to show football isn't dead , Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have chosen to help our little Non league club out financially , we will hopefully pay them back with a great day out.

"Chorley and Wolves go back a long way , we are very much looking forward to your supporters coming to Victory Park."
