The quarter-final clash at Park Hall will see Saints, now nine points clear at the top of the JD Cymru Premier, look to continue a fine run of results which has seen them win their last eight league games.

Airbus, managed by Mark Allen, head to Oswestry also enjoying a good season and they are the current table-toppers in the JD Cymru North.

Having lose to Connah’s Quay Nomads in last year’s Welsh Cup final, Saints are keen to get their hands on the trophy once again this season.

Head coach Craig Harrison told S4C's Sgorio: “There was one real negative in my opinion last season, when we got beat in the Welsh Cup final from Connah’s Quay.

“We were really disappointed and obviously we want to try and win that trophy back because we held it before Connah’s Quay took it off us.

“It’s never going to be an easy game. Airbus have got nothing to lose. I managed to get an opportunity to see them play a couple of weeks ago.

“Obviously, it’s a previous club of mine. It’s where I started off my career as assistant manager with Gareth Owen and then manager for two seasons, so I’ve got really fond memories and a lot of people that I class as friends still there.

“Mark Allen was my captain when I was the manager there as well, so there’s a lot of connections and we’re really looking forward to it.”

Saints and Welsh Cup holders Connah’s Quay are the only two top-flight teams from the JD Cymru Premier through to the last eight of this season’s competition.
