The Chelsea loanee has not played since the 1-0 defeat to Charlton at The Valley last month.
The youngster has an 'overuse' injury, and with Town's good form, Ainsworth and his medical team have used it as a good time for him to take a break from action.
And the boss is hopeful of the 19-year-old being back in the squad soon.
"It is great that the boys are performing so well that we can just give him that little bit of time," he said. Sometimes, as a young man, we have just got to pull him out of the team.
"It is crazy, the amount of games they play at such a young age.
"I know him well, I know his dad really well, and we have been chatting, and we have just said let's just let him recover.
"He played a heck of a lot of games in one stint, but between Chelsea and my medical staff, he is in really good hands. I am sure we will be seeing him pretty soon.
"At the moment, it is great that there is no absolute desperation for him. There will be, and I want him back in the team without a doubt, but the boys are performing at a top level. That allows a little time for these knocks to recover."
