Salop have scored just one goal in their last five third-tier outings and they are winless in seven as they head into the clash at the Croud Meadow.

How is Shrewsbury’s squad looking for the clash?

They will be without top scorer John Marquis for the visit of Burton, a side in desperate need of a win - they trail 20th-placed Peterborough United by six points, and Posh have a game in hand.

Marquis is set to serve the final game of his three-match suspension after the red card he picked up just 13 seconds into the match at the Weston Homes Stadium a few weeks back.

Aaron Pierre is back in contention

Like Marquis, the 32-year-old has not played for Shrewsbury since the game against Peterborough.

In that game, Pierre picked up his 10th yellow card of the season and has had to miss the last two matches.

His physicality and aerial presence was missed by Town at the weekend as they lost 2-0 in Devon against Exeter - his return will be a welcome boost for Shrewsbury who have missed him.

Will Shrewsbury see Leo Castledine again?

Well, it does not feel like there is much point. The Chelsea loanee is injured, and he has been since the end of January after he picked up a stress fracture in his back.

Given the fact Shrews’ chances of League One survival appear to be over, it seems like there is little point in rushing the talented youngster back into action.

It would be surprising if he was seen in blue and amber again.

How is the rest of the squad looking?

Aside from the above issues Shrewsbury have a relatively clean bill of health from which to choose.
