Shropshire Premier League bowls top prize increased
The champions of Shropshire's elite league will receive an even bigger reward this year – even though total prize money has been cut.

Clubs in the Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier League agreed that and other changes at their March meeting at Meole Brace BC in Shrewsbury.
"The prize money was decreased by £1,000. However, the top prize has increased to £1,250," explained league treasurer Rob Burroughs.
But prize money will now only be paid down to 10th place, rather than all 14 member clubs getting an end-of-season cheque.
"The Barlows Fire & Security Alan Mayhew Trophy prize money has decreased by £50, but the Pool A & B prizes have stayed the same," added Burroughs.
Prize money paid in the Tanners Shropshire League has also been altered following the pre-season executive meeting. The divisional champions will now win £200, runners-up £150, third place £100 and fourth place £50.
