Burway looking for a repeat in top bowls clash
Burway are hoping to recreate their display from the final day of the 2016 season to secure victory at early Premier League leaders Meole Brace tomorrow.

A 9-5 victory last September secured a 10th-placed finish and captain Chris Dovey’s side have flown out of traps this season, sitting second ahead of their trip to the table-toppers having beat Sir John Bayley 14-0, the first time a defending champion had been whitewashed since Battlefield lost 14-0 at Castlefields in 1995.
But they can call on their experience from last season’s victory at Meole.
“Hopefully we can do what we did last year and secure a win,” said the skipper.
“It was quite comfortable in the end but they’re playing well this season – any away game is tough.”
Meole, who finished sixth last season, sit top with three wins from their opening five matches.
“I think it’s their same team from last year,” Dovey added. “They’ve had a good start and won at Hanmer(7-5) last week, but we’re on track.”
Tenth tackles 11th as Newport head to Bylet with the visitors hoping to build on last week’s victory against Chester Road.
Castlefields face Hanwood and both will aim to continue their promising starts to the campaign. The clubs lie fifth and sixth, both with three wins from five.
Chester Road welcome Wrockwardine Wood with the duo looking to kick-start their 2017 season. The former sit second-bottom, while Wood are just two points better off in 12th.
Bottom side Hanmer, reeling from last week’s home defeat to Meole Brace, have a home clash against mid-table Ifton.
Sir John Bayley welcome fourth-placed St Georges, while Wem USC, joint second with Burway, welcome Bowring.
