Aston Villa legend Paul McGrath backs Tyrone Mings after losing armband
Tyrone Mings has received the backing of Villa legend Paul McGrath after losing the captaincy and his place in the side for the opening defeat at Bournemouth.
The decision to bench Mings for the 2-0 reverse on Saturday has divided fans and McGrath said: “Tyrone Mings is good enough for Aston Villa, in my opinion he ticks all the right boxes, so how do you lose the armband and your place in seconds.
“You don’t, so who said what to who, no-one cares, get him in the team. Respect. UTV.”
