Baggies are back! West Brom players return for pre-season testing - Gallery

Albion’s squad checked in for pre-season testing today as preparations for the 2023/24 campaign stepped up.

All players, aside from those injured or undergoing rehabilitation and those on international duty, returned to the training base in Walsall.

Further physical tests will take place tomorrow before head coach Carlos Corberan oversees a first training session of pre-season ahead of the new campaign.

Striker Daryl Dike is a long-term injury absentee with a ruptured Achilles and Dara O’Shea and Jayson Molumby are away with Republic of Ireland. Semi Ajayi last weekend helped Nigeria qualify for next year’s African Cup of Nations, taking place in January and February.

Goalkeeper Josh Griffiths is part of England’s European Under-21 Championship squad, which begins against Czech Republic in Georgia on Thursday. Zac Ashworth is with Wales’ under-21 set-up bidding to qualifying for the next European Championship.
