That looks set to be the case, certainly for captain Dara O'Shea, with West Brom and Burnley locked in talks over a potential sale of the Republic of Ireland international to the newly promoted Premier League side.

O'Shea is arguably the club's biggest asset in the playing squad, having played in the top flight, captained the club and made 19 international appearances all at the age of 24.

The reality of the situation off the field at the club really hits home for many fans when they see one of the academy's best ever graduates being sold to a newly promoted Premier League side.

But there are many different ways to look at this transfer, from a negative and positive angle.
