Shifnal Town took the Shropshire bragging rights as they defeated Shrewsbury Town 5-2 in the West Midlands Women’s League, writes Dan Hickey.
Jenna Boddison got a brace in the Premier Division fixture as Shifnal went six points clear at the top of the league.
Rebecca-Lee Brown, Grace Field and Tayler Davies also scored to extend their unbeaten league run to eight matches.

A Mia Washington hat-trick and a brace from Eleanor Hill put Alport 5-0 at half time, with Ebony Cooper adding in the last five minutes. The result closed the gap on second-placed Albrighton to just two points.
Allscott Heath lost 4-3 to Port Vale Reserves, despite goals from Isabell Foxon, Shaunte Mthethwa and Jada Varela.
At the top of the Shropshire Super League, Telford Town stayed unbeaten after their 6-0 bruising of second-placed Broseley, opening up a three-point gap at the top.
Scorers include Lacie Holden, Madison Hawthorne, Megan Lane and Emily Lomas, while Sienna Wilson bagged a brace.
Third-placed Shawbury United slipped away from the summit after a 2-2 draw with Shrewsbury Up & Comers, while Ellesmere Rangers won 2-1 on the road against Bridgnorth Spartans.
Newport remain bottom after their 0-0 draw with third-bottom Allscott Heath Development, while Meresiders climbed to 10th after defeating Prees United 3-1.
