Craig Harrison labels TNS performance against strugglers 'disgusting'
The New Saints boss Craig Harrison had some scathing words for his players - after they were beaten 3-1 at strugglers Briton Ferry.
The Saints had already suffered three defeats in the league, which is unusual for Harrison's side.
And they slipped to a fourth in South Wales against newly promoted Briton Ferry, who raced into a 3-0 lead on Wednesday night inside 39 minutes.
Jasper Payne, Ellis Sage and Tyler Brock stunned the Saints, who did pull one back before half time through Aramide Oteh.
But despite a handful of second half chances they could not turn things around, and Harrison did not hold back after the defeat.
He also insisted that the Saints' loss and other losses this season cannot be blamed on their busy schedule, having qualified for the Conference League group phase.
He said: "It was a really poor performance, we were terrible.
"Everyone involved was really poor and you can't do that no matter who you play against.
"They deserved to be 3-1 up at the break, we didn't deserve anything more than that.
"We created lots of chances in the second half but the quality wasn't there.
"It was a disappointing performance all round, in fact, it was a disgusting performance.
"No one is hiding behind anything and we won't it was really poor."
