The Bucks have been forced out of action this weekend, as their Skrill Conference North game at Oxford City has been postponed.

That leaves Watson will more time to work on his targets for 2014-15, which he hopes will kick off with Telford as a Conference Premier club again after promotion.

His side are in the play-off places and, while not looking too far forward, the Telford boss believes the club will reap the rewards of early ground-work in the summer.

He's been working with chairman Ian Dosser and managing director Lee Carter on boosting the squad, which will be built with a view to survival in the Premier.

Watson said: "We have been given everything we have asked for from the chairman and Lee, you can't really ask for any more than that. I can't thank them enough.

"Hopefully, we will get to where we want to be and their backing and support has been vital. Summer is coming round the corner and I like to get my work done early.

"You plan ahead and the players we need are unproven Conference Premier players, but Conference Premier players nevertheless. We haven't discussed the budget.

"We are already looking at ways we can improve the squad and there lots going on behind the scenes. In regards to bringing players in, that doesn't stop."

Watson believes today's call off, the first-ever fixture between the two clubs, will be re-arranged for April, when struggling City's future could hang in the balance.

He said: "I have looked at their fixtures and they are due to play Saturday-Tuesday almost through to the end of the season, so I think it's likely to be played on April 15.

"When you look at their situation, they might be going into that game needing to win to stay up."
