Larry Chambers is working to keep Jake Hibbs at the Bucks

AFC Telford United have agreed to keep Jake Hibbs for at least another month – as they opted against retaining his FC Halifax team-mate Graham Hutchison.

Winger Hibbs, who returns to contention for Saturday's visit of Nuneaton after a one-match ban, has impressed with his fearless wing play.

The club have lined up an extension to his loan for when his current month's stay is up a week on Saturday.

"He'll come back into contention and we're looking to extend his loan as well because we missed Jake last weekend," said assistant boss Larry Chambers.

"We've spoken to Halifax and we're looking to extend that. They're going down a route of looking for more-experienced players because of the trouble they're in, and they think he just needs to keep playing football.

"Jake's a handful and he's enjoying his football. I think he's been a breath of fresh air for us.

"We always knew he was a good player but he's taken the bull by the horns.

"He's got no fear, he gets at defenders and he delivers good quality balls in, so he's done great for us and he's settled in really well with the lads as well."

As Hibbs prepares to stay with the Bucks, Hutchison won't be extending his loan into a third month.
