AFC Telford v Hednesford rearranged

The original match, scheduled for last Saturday, was controversially postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Fans had spent the morning forking the pitch to get the game on and pictures posted of the ground appeared to show it playable.

But it's understood the match referee decided to call the game off from home, without even inspecting it.

The decision left the Bucks angry and frustrated and Telford managing director Lee Carter criticised the official and the National League.

As well as losing the date they wanted to play, the Bucks were also hit in the pocket, as a weekend derby would have meant a larger gate, a bigger away support and more bar takings.
