Saturday's postponed fixture against Hednesford Town had left Bucks chiefs fuming and they decided to sweat it out with an intense session at the gym.

With their scheduled training session at Lilleshall falling foul of the weather, the team made its way to the Purity Gym and Fitness Centre in Wellington.

The team started off with a 45-minute session in the spin studio, before splitting into two groups.

With one set putting on the boxing pads and the others jumping on the Concept rowers, with staff being told 'not to go easy' on them.

Goalkeeping coach Andy Pryce said: "It was a good workout. It's different, but it got the lads laughing and giggling as well as putting them through their paces.

"The staff worked them hard and a lot of what they did is to aid footballers, with high cardio and recovery.

"Obviously, we would prefer to be out there running on the pitch, but we were really welcomed by the staff at Purity.

"It's something we would do again if we get hampered by the weather."
