In a passionate statement, chairman Ian Dosser pledges his support for management duo Rob Smith and Larry Chambers.

Supporters Trust chairman Luke Fearnall has also called for unity among fans, while the ownership model saga rumbles on.

Dosser said: "The board are clear – we're going to continue to do everything we can to get behind Rob and Larry and support their attempts to keep us in the division.

"We will not contemplate preparing for relegation. It's simply not what the club is about or what the majority of fans want. However, to do this we need people to continue to get behind us.

"Times have been tough but we're determined to fight our way out of this and we ask as many as possible attend games, particularly our home games."

Trust chairman Luke Fearnall said: "It's imperative we now get behind everyone involved at the club in trying to prevent relegation.

"Regardless of opinions on the ownership of this club, for the moment, we remain very much your club.

"We need everyone to pull behind the management and players now and dig deep, raise your voices at games, donate some time."

Managing director Lee Carter said: "It's been a hugely tough 12 months, and we're feeling the pinch in lots of different ways.

"We urge as many people as possible to get behind us and to help if they can, even if that's from the end of the phone.

"If history has done something to affect the relationship between you and the club, please get in touch.

"It's time we pressed 'reset' and we're all committed to doing whatever we must do to get things on a better footing."

Dosser said: "Over the coming days and weeks we'll be starting a number of initiatives aimed at helping the club and the manager."

The club lists ways for fans to help, such as bringing a friend to games, buying half-time draw tickets.
