AFC Telford United defender Kyle Brownhill has dropped down a division to rejoin former club Hyde United until the end of the season.

Brownhill's time at the New Bucks Head is effectively over, with his Telford contract due to expire when the campaign comes to an end.

The left-back, 20, has just recovered from an ankle injury, but has found his path back to the starting line-up blocked by Darren Campion.

Brownhill now leaves behind the National League North relegation fight to return to Ewen Fields, where he's now back for a second spell.

He signed for Hyde in the summer of 2014, having been released by Championship club Burnley, but was loaned to Telford that November.

The Tigers recalled him and he saw out the campaign with his parent club, who were relegated to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

Telford also went down but then-manager Steve Kittrick still brought Brownhill back on a one-year contract, before Rob Smith took charge.
