The 27-year-old striker was hoping for his full debut today at Stalybridge Celtic after netting within 12 minutes of coming off the bench against Solihull Moors.

The Bucks lost 2-1, but the former England C international is optimistic they will dodge the drop.

"I've got a great track record of scoring goals in this league when I've played up front and I've got to the play-offs the last few seasons in the Conference and the Conference North," said Wilson.

"Before that I was at Vauxhall Motors. It was a great time, one of the best of my career, but unfortunately we were often fighting at the end of the wrong end of the table. I can bring that experience into the Telford changing room as well.

"It's a tough task we've got ahead, but with the players we've got, we're more than capable. It's a massive club – probably on a par with Halifax as the biggest club I've played for."

The striker has enjoyed promotion challenges in the Conference North with Guiseley and Conference Premier with FC Halifax, before swapping high-flying AFC Fylde for Telford.

Winger Eusebio Bancessi, who recently had a month's loan at Telford, has been released by Wolves.

Telford-based left-back Ben O'Hanlon and former Bucks loan striker Bradley Reid are two of five Wolves youngsters offered one-year contract extensions.
