Rob Smith in defensive poser for AFC Telford

AFC Telford United boss Rob Smith hopes for a selection headache over tomorrow's visit of high-flying Tamworth.

The Lambs visit the New Bucks Head in impressive National League North form, currently on a run of seven games unbeaten.

But the Bucks, themselves unbeaten in five and with four wins on the bounce, are expected to be at full strength for the first time in recent weeks.

Centre-half Graham Hutchison, who came off with an Achilles injury early in the 1-0 win at Harrogate Town, is on target for a return.

But to do so, he must oust stand-in man Mike Grogan from the line-up. Smith remained coy over whether the impressive Grogan, who got the winner at Harrogate, would keep his place.

The Bucks boss said: "I hope that Hutch is back and I hope I have a headache over who to select.

"We've got a small squad and this Bank Holiday weekend is going to test us with the fixtures, so hopefully he'll be fit tomorrow.

"Generally we reward performances. But we'll have to look at the opposition and make a decision based on that.

"It doesn't matter who we are playing, be it Tamworth further up the table or Brackley (Monday's opposition) around us – we need to win games of football. Tamworth are on a good run and both teams need to win."

Despite lifting his side to 18th in National League North – and third in the league form table – Smith is insistent that nothing will be taken for granted.

Some of their drop-zone rivals, including Lowestoft Town a place below and rock-bottom Corby Town, have played fewer games than the Bucks.

The Telford chief is targeting a return of four points from the Bank Holiday double-header for his team.

He added: "Getting points on the board is the big thing. I'd like to get four points minimum from the two Bank Holiday games but you can't really look ahead any further than that, because of possible injuries.

"But we've been on a brilliant run and we want to keep it going."
