The former Scotland Under-21 international defender is on loan from National Premier side FC Halifax to the end of the campaign.

The Shaymen have a 12-month option on his contract, which expires this summer.

Telford could be left in a central defensive dilemma with Curtis Tilt attracting Football League scouts, Hutchison due to return to west Yorkshire and Paul McCone out to the autumn, with midfielder Mike Grogan playing as a makeshift centre back.

And Bucks team-mate James Montgomery wants the the 23-year-old Birmingham City academy graduate to return to Telford.

"Yes - he's a good lad to have around the dressing room, all the lads like him as a person and he's a good player," said Montgomery.

"That's down to the gaffer but he wouldn't have signed him three times on loan if he didn't rate him.

"He's a big lad, he reads the game well and talks a bit and he's a friendly guy to have around - I can't say enough good words about him."

Hutchison played seven games for Lincoln City and 20 for Halifax in the National League and Montgomery believes the centre back has the potential to go higher.

"When you look at what someone like Jamie Vardy has achieved you never know," said the keeper.

"You don't know what potential you've got until someone takes a chance on you and I'm sure he's got the talent to get back into the pro game."

Meanwhile, Montgomery insists Telford's safety comes before his own future.

Apart from striker Dave Hibbert and loanees Hutchison and Connor McCarthy, Rob Smith's entire squad are out of contract.

But Montgomery said: "I'm just thinking about trying to keep Telford up this season.

"One day I want to turn professional - that's always been my dream.

"But at the moment I'm not thinking long-term - I'm just focusing on the short term which is North Ferriby today.

"If that (full-time football) happened in the future, that would be nice.

"But nothing's been decided and I'll speak to the gaffer at the end of the season.

"I don't think anyone has their futures sorted because we don't know where we're going to be yet."
