Curtis Tilt: This is massive for AFC Telford

Defender Curtis Tilt reckons AFC Telford United's clash at Brackley tonight is their biggest of the season – as midfielder Jordan Wynter is set to give them a boost.

And Tilt believes the presence of players on both sides playing against familiar faces will add extra spice.

Telford duo Dwayne Samuels and Izak Reid return to St James' Park, while Dave Hibbert played for Brackley boss Kevin Wilkin at Nuneaton.

Brackley players Glenn Walker, Richard Batchelor and top scorer Steve Diggin were at Hednesford, under Telford management duo Rob Smith and Larry Chambers.

The Bucks are fifth from bottom of National League North, one place and two points better off than their Northamptonshire hosts.

Brackley are only out of the drop zone on goal difference and are on the same points as third-from-bottom Lowestoft, who have a game in hand.

And Tilt said: "It's a massive game – probably the biggest of the season. We've said that before, but this one actually is and it's a real six-pointer."

Tilt believes playing against familiar faces will only add to the build-up, continuing: "It will make their lads all play a bit better but it's the same for us with Dwayne and Izak.

"They want to go back to their old club and play well and it's the same facing your old manager.

"Dwayne and Izak are buzzing, especially Dwayne, and we all want the three points or, at least, not to lose."

Telford have lost their last two games – without scoring – to high-flying Solihull Moors and North Ferriby after a seven-match unbeaten run and five straight clean sheets.

But Tilt is confident they can recapture their recent form, adding: "I think we can get back to that.

"Solihull and Ferriby are two of the best teams in the league and I don't think the matches we've got left will be as difficult."

Telford are likely to be without left-back Darren Campion, who tweaked knee ligaments in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at North Ferriby, but Wynter is expected to be fit after missing that game with a dead leg.
