Gary Neville in second call to tempt Curtis Tilt to Salford

Bucks defender Tilt, who has extended his deadline to decide his future by seven days until the end of this week, has received offers from both clubs.

Tilt has also had a second telephone call from Salford co-owner and Manchester United legend Gary Neville to try to persuade him to join the ambitious National League North newcomers.

But the 24-year-old, who is the only existing Telford player to decide his future, remains torn.

"It's a difficult decision because there's not much in it in terms of where both clubs are going to be finishing next season," said the former Hednesford and Halesowen Town defender.

"I had another call from Gary Neville at the weekend asking if I'd made my decision.

"One minute I've made my mind up and the next minute I haven't. The more I talk to people, the harder it gets, so I'm just trying to think for myself because everyone has different opinions."

Telford assistant boss Larry Chambers said: "All the talking has been done from both parties and it's down to Curtis.

"In fairness he hasn't come back to us and said 'can you offer me more money?'

"There's the pull of Salford. They're the most talked-about club in non-league but I think Telford are a big club in non-league.

"I don't think Salford have the same heritage and who's to say where they might be in a couple of years' time? Both clubs have pitched to Curtis and it's down to him. I imagine Salford will be pressing him for a decision."

Meanwhile, the Bucks are still hopeful of signing former Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Callum Gittings. Chambers and boss Rob Smith met the 30-year-old last Thursday and talks went well.

"We're just waiting on Callum. Following our meeting, he's had one or two offers since we spoke including I believe one from a Conference Premier club and he's weighing them up," said Chambers.

"But we're still hopeful of getting him on board."
