Danny Reynolds faces his boyhood club

The 19-year-old striker stole the show in Saturday's 4-0 win at Market Drayton by scoring two goals and setting up one for Josh Wilson.

It came after being man of the match in the 0-0 draw against Solihull Moors. Reynolds moved on after failing to secure regular first-team football at the Racecourse Ground.

But manager Rob Smith believes the youngster can continue to grab the headlines for Telford, who host the National League Premier side at the Bucks Head tonight (7.45pm).

Smith said: "Danny probably was unlucky there but they're a club that's got to go for things straightaway and we understand that.

"He's got a chance at our club in a good league to make a real name for himself. He's started off well and if he can carry on, we'll have a good player on our hands.

"I think Dan has shown he's got the potential to be something special, but it's early days. We've tried to get that physical side into his game and that workrate because everything else is there."

Reynolds is one of three players set to face their former clubs this evening with ex-Red Dragons midfielder Lee Fowler, while Curtis Tilt makes an early return to the Bucks Head.

Now he's enjoying the benefits of full-time training, Smith believes Tilt could progress to the Football League.

The Bucks chief said; "It will be nice to see Curt again. He's going to have a good year for them.

"From what I hear, he's already doing well so if he listens to 'Millsy' (boss Gary Mills), he's got a chance to go up again.

"He's got raw pace and raw strength which is what you want as a defender so I've no doubts he'll do well in the Conference, it's just a question of whether he goes any higher."

Smith believes Wrexham will pose a stern test in their penultimate warm-up game. He added: "I've heard they're playing really well, so that's a great game for us.

"It's another test and it will be as difficult as it comes for us, so it will be a good challenge."
