Tom Peers eyeing Telford promotion push
New AFC Telford United forward Tom Peers has revealed the Bucks dressing room are targeting promotion this season.
The frontman has been a regular presence for Telford during the close season but is anticipating the blood and thunder of competitive National League North football.
And the 20-year-old is confident that his new team-mates can compete against some of non-league's biggest clubs and that the Bucks will be fighting at the summit of the division come the spring.
"I think it's been a great pre-season and it's a great squad, and one I want to think we can challenge for promotion with," said the former Chester and Hednesford Town man.
"Everyone is thinking that in the changing room, but there's a lot of big sides in this league this season so it will be a tough. But I know every lad in that changing room wants promotion so we'll see what happens come May – hopefully we'll be involved."
