Larry Chambers: Belief is the key for Telford

AFC Telford United assistant boss Larry Chambers has urged the side to 'believe' they can win at Nuneaton Town this afternoon.

The Bucks go to Liberty Way fresh off a 0-0 draw at Stockport County, extending their unbeaten run to three games in National League North.

Meanwhile, Nuneaton are bottom of the table with just one point from five games and lost 3-1 to Harrogate on Saturday.

Chambers knows the side cannot focus too much on Boro's form so far, but wants them to be positive.

"We have got to be guarded. Nuneaton are having a tough time but Kevin Wilson is a good manager," he said. "He knows the league well and will be expecting a response.

"The one thing we've learned about this league is that you can't go into a fixture looking at somebody at the bottom of the league and expecting an easy game.

"On any given day, anybody can beat anybody and we proved that last year.

"We were bottom at times but we went on to win games and it will change eventually for Nuneaton.

"It's all about what we do. We have to make sure we have the same attitude and application from the Stockport game and believe we can get something."

Against Stockport on Saturday at the New Bucks Head, James Hurst and Jack Rea both started.

Hurst had a minor operation on a groin injury over the summer and Rea has been hampered by an ankle injury so far this term.

Both were taken off in the second period – Hurst replaced by Micah Evans after 54 minutes, while Lucas Dawson came on for Rea 18 minutes later.

On having the two back in the side, Chamber added: "The personnel we have got, people like James Hurst and Jack Rea are massive for us. When we haven't got them, they are a big miss.

"Jack has been a bit stop-start with his little injuries but he's got through the best part of 90 minutes against Stockport.

"James has had an operation, a minor operation, so it's all about getting his match fitness really.

"When he's fit, when he has played four or five games, he will be a massive player for us."
