AFC Telford United boss Rob Smith admits Ben Bailey has handed him a selection dilemma for Saturday's visit of FC Halifax.

Bailey made his full debut in Monday's 1-1 draw at Nuneaton Town and performed impressively alongside captain Luca Havern. The summer signing from Hednesford got his chance because Dan Preston was ill.

Preston is expected to be available for the weekend and Smith says he has a selection headache.

"He was tremendous and I was really pleased for Ben because he's been so patient and shown such an unbelievable attitude," said the boss.

"He's given me a headache for Saturday. I've got a dilemma there and that's what I want.

"Ben hasn't said a word (about not playing) but he put in a performance like that – which is what I've known him do for years – and sometimes that's the way it happens in football. You get your chance and he took his."
