The two National League North sides went head to head in a replay at the New Bucks Head after playing out a 0-0 draw at the Victoria Ground on Saturday.

Rob Smith's side dominated the game for the best part of an hour and took a deserved lead when Dave Hibbert spectacularly fired home from 25-yards.

But the game was turned on its head in the 54th minute when Bucks midfielder Jonathan Royle was dismissed for two-yellow cards.

From that point the momentum swung in the visitors favour with Carl Heeley's side scoring three times in the last 30 minute to clinch a place in the next round.

Boss Smith made one change to the team that battled its way to a 0-0 draw at the Victoria Ground.

Sticking with his new 3-5-2 system, Sean Williams came into central midfield at the expense of Lucas Dawson who had to make do with a place on the bench.

For Worcester, ex-Albion striker Lee Hughes partnered Colby Bishop is a traditional 4-4-2 formation.

Both teams knew the winner of the game would be rewarded with a home tie against Brackley Town in the third qualifying round.

And it was the Bucks who started the brighter of the two teams with Smith's side twice coming close to breaking the deadlock inside the opening 10 minutes.

First, James Hurst flashed a strike wide from inside the area after City only half-cleared a deep Williams' free-kick.

The bright and lively Williams then tried his luck from distance with a dipping strike that Ryan Boot did well to tip over.

Telford's game plan was to press Worcester at every opportunity in a bid to win the ball as high up the field as possible.

And it was a strategy that looked effective with Worcester not registering their first shot on target until the 20th minute when Hughes cut onto his right foot and tried to bend a strike into the bottom corner.

Bucks keeper James Montgomery was equal to the effort though – with the glovesman doing well to hold on to the strike as Nelson-Addy looked to pounce.

Carl Heeley's men were slowly getting a foothold on the game and they threatened again when Chekaine Steele tricked his way past two defenders before firing wide from the edge of the box.

It was in the 25th minute Telford got their noses in front thanks to a moment of real quality from Hibbert. The striker looked to have little on when he collected the ball 25-yards from goal.

But the former Shrewsbury man arrowed a strike into the bottom left corner which grazed the inside of the post before nestling into the net.

Worcester responded with Junior English trying a cheeky chip from the edge of the box which floated over Montgomery's goal.

But Heely's side had otherwise struggled to break-through a result Telford defence, with Smith's side making their way off at the break deserving of their lead.

The Bucks dominance continued at the start of the second half with Connor McCarthy producing a smart save from Boot two minutes after the re-start.

Seconds later, and the hosts had a glorious chance to double their advantage. McCarthy did excellently to brush off a number of challenges and bundle his way through on goal.

But with the whole net to aim for, the former Southport man fired wide when he should have scored.

Suddenly it was all Telford and they came a whisker away once again when Gianluca Halvern rose highest from free-kick only to head straight at Boot.

City hit-back with Montgomery spectacularly smoothing at the feet of Steele as the midfielder looked to sidefoot Hughes' cross into the net from six-yards.

But the momentum of the game completely shifted in the 54th minute when Royle was given his matching orders.

Despite already being on a yellow card, the midfielder pulled the shirt of Tyler Weir as he charged through on goal – with referee Peter Gibbons having little option but to send him on his way.

Four minutes later and the visitors pulled level thanks to a huge slice of good fortune.

Cieron Keane delivered a cross from the right wing. But the ball took a wicked deflection of a Telford defender and looped up and over Montgomery and into the net.

With a man advantage, Worcester looked to capitalise with Weir and Bishop both seeing distance strikes saved by the keeper.

McCarthy then tried his luck from 25-yards after a decent spell of Bucks pressure but the effort was straight at Boot in City's goal.

Heely's men almost won it in the 85th minute when Bishop latched onto a Hughes flick-on and then fired agonisingly wide after tricking his way past Dan Preston.

But as the clock ticked closer to the 90, they did get the goal that put them into the third qualifying round.

A whipped in cross found its way through to Steele inside the area and the wideman had time to take a touch before emphatically firing past Montgomery.

Telford desperately tried to find an equaliser in the remaining minutes of the game.

But as they pressed forward in stoppage time, they were caught on the break with an unmarked Hughes making it 3-1 after connecting with a cross from substitute Jordan Murphy.
