The Bucks resume their National League North campaign on Saturday when they welcome the Lancashire side to the New Bucks Head.

Supporters, though, are still reeling from Tuesday's FA Cup loss to Worcester – a match Rob Smith's side looked set to win before Jonathan Royle was sent off in the 54th minute for a second bookable offence.

At that point, the Bucks were leading 1-0 and looking comfortable.

And having missed out on the cash windfall that comes with making it though to the third qualifying round, Chambers accepts supporters are frustrated.

"What I'd like to say to supporters is that we are just as disappointed as they are," Chambers said.

"It was important for the club to have an FA Cup run. The players know that and understand that.

"For the best part of an hour we were comfortable and I think the fans can see the sending off has killed us."

Chambers says he and boss Smith will now ensure the players' heads are lifted for a difficult clash with Chorley – with The Magpies currently sitting fifth in the table after an impressive start.

"We will train tonight and pick their heads up," Chambers continued.

"We need to go again because we have a tough game against Chroley.

"The manner of the Worcester result has hurt us because we knew the importance of game. But we will pick ourselves up."

Chambers also gave an injury update on Dave Hibbert, Jack Rae, Darren Campion and Josh Wilson ahead of Saturday's clash.

"Hibbert is OK. The problem with Dave is that we are asking him to play three games in a week but we will have a light session with him." Chambers added.

"Darren Campion has been carrying an injury and probably shouldn't have played on Saturday.

"But he has come through that and we will assess him again tonight. Jack Rae is fine but but Josh Wilson is 50/50."
