Rob Smith is delighted at Jordan Sangha signing for Telford

AFC Telford chief Rob Smith hopes exciting Walsall prospect Jordan Sangha can help answer his side's National League North woes.

The 18-year-old schemer checked into New Bucks Head yesterday on a one-month loan deal.

And Smith hopes the highly-regarded youngster can have an instant impact as the Bucks look to put recent disappointment beyond them.

"Jordan's an attacking midfield player and he gets around the park," said the boss.

"It's something that we've been lacking. He's a good player. We've been looking at the move before but they didn't want to let him go while we were in the FA Cup, now we are out we've pushed it through.

"Jordan is a footballer. He's got good energy and goals in him, he's been on the fringes of their first team and Walsall are obviously now looking to get him games.

"Physically he will be able to cope. We're searching for answers and we won't rest until we get them. Everyone knows how hard we worked on Connor (McCarthy).

"We're always on the look-out and hopefully Jordan can improve the squad."

Sangha said: "I'm excited to go out and play some games, to get in and around first-team football and get some experience.

"I know Telford are quite a big club at that level. They've got a nice pitch there and they like to play football."

Sangha's pathway to the Bucks team may be clearer as Josh Wilson remains a doubt with a hamstring injury. The forward has not featured since Telford's 3-1 reversal at Gainsborough Trinity.

Fifth-placed Chorley are tomorrow's visitors, with the Magpies enjoying a fine run of form.

Matt Jansen's men have lost just once in 11 games this season and are unbeaten in seven games in all competitions.

"They've got one of the meanest defences in the division. They are everything we are not," said Smith.

"It's just clicked for them, they've got a new squad and they've been on the right side of everything, while we've been on the other.

"We want to start getting results quickly, we don't think the performances we've put in have warranted the results we've got but the table doesn't lie. It's just frustration that we're continually losing games. We've only had two bad performances in Gloucester and Gainsborough, which were unacceptable."
