Larry Chambers frustrated following Telford draw

AFC Telford United assistant boss Larry Chambers has been left 'frustrated' after the side failed to make the most of a numerical advantage against Chorley.

The game at New Bucks Head ended 0-0, with the visitors holding on for a point after having Marcus Carver dismissed just after the interval for an elbow to the head of Dwayne Samuels.

The Bucks were resolute at the back and dominated possession but, once again, there was a lack of quality in front of goal.

"The term we would use is frustrated. Chorley have got the best defensive record in the league and you can see why," said Chambers.

"When they had 10 men, they just got five (defenders) behind the ball and it was difficult to break down.

"When we did have opportunities, I think we lacked a bit of quality in the final third.

"There were a couple of occasions where Connor (McCarthy) probably could have got shots off but he wanted an extra touch."

After the exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Worcester City, Telford needed to steady the ship.

Although, Chambers realises the side could have got more from the game and added: "It was a game which we could have won really."
