There was not a team coach provided for the game at Horsfall Stadium, in which Ben Bailey levelled the scores after Chris Sharp's strike for Avenue.

Also, it was announced prior to the game that Micah Evans has left the club to join National League North rivals Worcester City.

On the situation, Smith said: "Nothing changes and we are just concentrating on the football side of things.

"What else goes on, goes on. There was not a coach today for whatever reason, I don't know - I just don't think we could get one.

"Nothing changes from our perspective, everything else will look after itself.

"We just need to make sure we keep working hard to try to get results."

On the game, Smith added: "It was not a great game of football. It was two teams that are struggling to get a win under their belt, and it showed.

"It was not a great game at all. It was two teams feeling sorry for themselves but it was important we came away without losing."
