A club statement released on Tuesday outlined how the club needs to raise £25,000 by the end of this month, and the same amount by the end of November. It also detailed the need of a change in the ownership model in order to make way for new investment.

There has been an outpouring of support from fans on social media urging people to attend the National North clash with FC United of Manchester.

The club has received donations from 'supporters, and also supporters from other clubs and a former player'. The sum raised was around £12,000 last night. Posters are being designed to promote upcoming fixtures in public houses and shops around the Telford area and there will be donation buckets dotted around the ground on Saturday.

Dosser said: "The response has been fantastic. The staff have been overwhelmed by offers of help and donations.

"A lot of people have shown support and hopefully there will be a big crowd at the ground on Saturday."
