AFC Telford boss Rob Smith 'totally committed to the club'

It has been a difficult time for the Bucks both on and off the pitch as of late.

The side are 19th in the National League North table with 12 points from 13 games, while the club's financial struggles were laid out in a club statement.

In a statement on the club's website, Smith said: "Our focus is very much on the football side of things, and it is fair to say it has been a difficult period of late and many tough decisions have had to be made, but we care deeply about this football club, we feel as it is our club, we have had some unbelievable times here and believe we have a special bond with supporters.

"We therefore cannot divorce ourselves from events off the field. We remain more ambitious than ever to get this club to where it belongs, but this has to be achieved on a sound and stable foundation.

"If that then means that the club has to take stock and make some changes then we fully understand that.

"At times like this we believe that you have to work harder in every instance, and we are working as hard as we can in training with the squad to turn round our fortunes on the pitch.

"We will continue do everything in our power to be the best we can with the resources at our disposal."

The club needs to raise £25,000 by the end of the month, and the same amount by the end of next month.

A change in the current Supporters Trust ownership model is being looked at it in order to make way for new investment.

"We still have an excellent spirit within the camp, we will work harder than ever to come through this, and make no mistake we will come through it," added Smith.

"The togetherness we know we have with the supporters is clear for all to see, and this will stand us in good stead to push on.

"The fans have been simply amazing with us, we will always go out of our way to talk to supporters as we totally share their passion.

"If you can help in any way to promote Saturday's game, or use your expertise at this time to help the club get through this tricky period, please do so.

"It is more important than ever that as many of you as possible come along on Saturday, three points is vital, but the future of the club is more vital.

"We will demonstrate on Saturday a real desire to get the points, and I know the fans will demonstrate their commitment to the club.

"We are here to stay, we are totally committed to the club, and will fight all the way.

"I urge everyone to really get behind the team and club as a whole, this will make a massive difference."
