Now the Bucks board has thanked fans for their efforts - and urged them to maintain their support by turning out for Saturday's home game against Boston.

Fundraisers finished up with £23,161 for the month, but the £1,839 gap to the target was covered by match sponsorships and advertising hoarding revenue drummed up by new commercial manager Liz Allsopp.

"The above gives us great momentum into the month of November, where again we have a target for the month of another £25k," said a club statement.

"The support on Saturday v Salford City gave us a fantastic best home attendance of the season of 1,841, of which 95 per cent was home support.

"Thank you to all our supporters, this represents a great response to our appeals."

Match day takings (admission and other spending) against FC United of Manchester were up £7,795 net of VAT compared with the previous home game against Chorley. Against Salford City, the increase was £7,179.

Donations of £8,187 brought the figure to £23,161.

Meanwhile, Telford boss Rob Smith is confident of making one new signing before the Boston game.

But while he has drawn up his list of transfer targets, he wants to see how his injury-depleted squad come through the next few days before adding any new faces.

The Bucks are currently struggling for numbers with Smith describing his squad depth as a "problem" following the defeat to Salford City.

That wasn't helped when wing-back James Hurst was sent off against the club which is owned by Manchester United's Class of 92.

And Smith will now assess the fitness of Josh Wilson, Dave Hibbert, Darren Campion and Gianluca Havern before deciding which area of the team to strengthen.

"I think we will make one signing this week – there is money in the budget to do that," the boss said.

"But we need to look at how many will be available at the weekend before we rush into anything. It's a small squad."
