The 26-year-old midfielder, who was signed on a short-term loan from National League side Ebbsfleet United last Friday, showed his class as the Bucks beat Darlington 2-0 at the New Bucks Head.

"From our point a view, he gave us a spark and he is something a little bit different," said Chambers.

"Not many teams in this league have got players like that but we just have to make sure we get a shift out of him.

"We know it is a short-term thing but we will enjoy it for as long as we have got him."

On the work done to bring Kissock in, Chambers added: "It was difficult, really.

"Ebbsfleet made it clear that it was only for a month – no longer – but the problem we had is that once it circulated there was a lot of other clubs interested in him.

"In fairness to Ebbsfleet they were really good and they weren't silly with the money.

"He knows Josh Wilson, he knows Connor McCarthy and the fact he knows them probably swung it our way."

Striker Dave Hibbert also praised Kissock and said: "We haven't had that sort of creative quality that JP has got. He is going to be a big player for us over the next few weeks."
