The Bucks head to the CNG Stadium for a National North fixture on the back of two victories.

Samuels used to play for Harrogate and was signed by their current boss, Simon Weaver.

"To be honest, I have fond memories of Harrogate. It was a lot of travelling but they gave me the first real opportunity to play week in, week out," he said.

"I will always be grateful to them for that and it is my favourite fixture of the season. I always enjoy going up there as I still have a lot of friends there – they are all really good football people."

Samuels signed for Town in 2012 and spent two years at the club before going to Brackley Town and then rejoining Telford in October 2015.

A lot of the faces may have remained at the club since he left but the pitch has changed – a 3G surface was installed in the summer.

Samuels said: "Ninety per cent of footballers, including me, would prefer to play on a grass pitch. Once the game gets going though, there is not much difference.

"It's fine. I don't go into a game feeling any different and once you're out there, you are focused on the game and you are not thinking about the surface."

On the form of the side, and his own play, Samuels added: "The performances have improved and we are getting the rub of the green."
