AFC Telford United could be without five players for their trip to Kidderminster Harriers in the FA Trophy first round tomorrow.

Skipper Luca Havern, Dwayne Samuels, Jack Rea and Connor McCarthy are all rated as 50/50 by Smith due to injuries. Elliot Hodge, who is on loan from Lincoln City, will definitely miss out as he is cup-tied having played in the competition for Stafford Rangers.

Havern and Samuels picked up ankle knocks at Harrogate Town last weekend, Rea hurt his shin and McCarthy played with a toe injury.

Smith was set to assess their fitness at training last night and said: "Dwayne, Luca, Jack and Connor all did not train earlier in the week.

"We will have to wait and see how they get on. I would rate them all as 50/50 at the moment.

"Connor's got a fairly long-standing toe injury. It is no worse than it was last week but it's been bugging him for a few weeks now."

Two players are due to come back into the squad. Dave Hibbert is good to return after missing the Harrogate game due to the artificial surface and the wear and tear it can cause to his knees.

Fellow striker Bradley Reid has been given the go-ahead by parent club Wolves after suffering a concussion against Darlington.

Telford got to the first round of the competition by winning 2-0 at Ramsbottom United, while Kidderminster were 3-1 victors against Lincoln United at home.

The Bucks beat Kidderminster 1-0 at the New Bucks Head earlier this season in the league and Smith's men will go to Aggborough with no fear.

"They are the best team I have seen this season and they have been on quite a run recently, scoring a lot of goals," said Smith.

"They are a full-time side and they are showing how it should be done as a full-time side. They have a lot of top quality players at this level but we are not going there fearing them as we do not fear anybody we come up against."
